BSI Kitemark and the TS007 Standard<\/strong><\/p>\n

The TS007:2012 BSI Kitemark is the security rating for both door hardware and cylinders. If a product is rated by BSI it will come with a star rating. If it is BSI Kitemarked it means it has proven, after extensive testing, that it is capable of defending against a range of lock breaking techniques and attacks.<\/p>\n

The Kitemark is a UK product and service quality accreditation operated by the British Standards Institution. The TS007 standard has been developed by Secured by Design, the Door and Hardware Federation and the Glass and Glazing Federation.<\/p>\n

3 star Kitemarked cylinders must prove that they can withstand 5 types of attack; drilling, picking, bumping, snapping and plug extraction.<\/p>\n

Anti-Snap<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our 3* cylinders have a sacrificial cut lines on them, so when force is applied to the end, they will break away to the anti-snap line only. This leaves the remaining part of the cylinders operational and the locking mechanisms intact.<\/p>\n

Anti-Bump<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our 3* cylinders have a unique and patented anti-bump system which doesn’t use trap pins. his system makes the turning of cylinder keys extra smooth!<\/p>\n

Anti-Drill<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each 3* cylinder has 4 hardened steel anti-drill pins on each side. In addition to this all moving pins within our cylinder are nickel plated hardened steel 50 HRC minimum.<\/p>\n

Anti-Pick<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each 3* cylinder has a minimum of 3 anti-pick pins on each side. This makes them extremely difficult for a common burglar to pick.<\/p>\n

Anti-Tilt<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once a normal anti-snap cylinder is snapped at the outside end the inner section is heaver and will tilt, allowing the burglar a small gap to gain access to the bolt. The Fullex anti-tilt ring in our 3* cylinders stops this from happening.<\/p>\n
