Each piece of door hardware is put through rigorous testing to make sure that it can withstand harsh environments, specifically areas with a sea salt concentrated air, acid rain and industrially polluted areas.<\/p>\n

Why have we used 316 Grade Stainless Steel?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that 316 grade stainless steel is the perfect grade of stainless steel to use at the coast for the cost price versus performance of the products. 316 grade is an austenitic stainless steel, containing 18% chormium and 10% nickel and it has a low carbon content. Due to this it has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments and has a good resistance to oxidation. It also offers a higher resistance to solutions such as sulfuric acid and chlorides at high temperatures.<\/p>\n

Salt Spray Testing<\/strong><\/p>\n

ALL Nanocoast products are salt spray tested to ASTM B117 standards for as least 2,000 hours to ensure corrosion resistance quality.<\/p>\n
